In terms of company introduction, Liang Junbin said that Reforgene is one of the few representative biomedical companies in China with underlying gene editing technology. For its lead thalassemia gene editing medicine, the company has international competitiveness and is currently advancing clinical trials. The early market launch of the product will bring more cure opportunities to thalassemia patients. In addition, the company has also achieved stage results in drug R&D in ophthalmology, the nervous system and other areas.

Chen Zhiyong also said that biomedicine is one of the three major industries key-positioned and developed in the district.
